Franklin Field Airport

Franklin Field is currently a public use airport owned and operated by the County of Sacramento. The facility is considered an uncontrolled airport since it does not have an air traffic control tower or personnel. There are approximately 36,000 operations each year at Franklin Field, including flight training. The airport was acquired by the County of Sacramento in 1947 from the federal government under the Surplus Property Act of 1944 and was the former site of bomber training during World War II.

Various buildings at Mather Airport are currently available for lease including: 31,217 square feet of office space; 26,600 square feet of hangar/shop/office space; 81,000 square feet of warehouse space; and a 17,600 square foot ramp side air cargo sort facility. In addition to the available space, over 200 acres of land are available for new construction at Mather Airport.

Located in the Sierra Nevada mountains at an elevation of 6264' MSL, Lake Tahoe Airport has a single runway, 18 - 36, which is 8,544' long and 150' wide. The runway is serviced full length by a parallel taxiway and six connecting taxiways.
